The red highlighted subjects you should master the and don’t even think of leaving anyone of the behind. These subjects will decide your faith in your exam.

How I studied

I used to watch videos only one time and then read from the main notes because watching videos every time is a huge waste of time instead I preferred main notes. I didn’t touch on rapid revision for major subjects. I think rapid revision skips lots of topics and mainly focuses on major topics , as the pattern is changing in every exam you can’t solely depend on rapid revision. After I learn a particular topic then only I move to mcq’s to check how I perform in that particular topic. Most students start solving mcq’s immediately which impacts their performance as chances of getting wrong answers increases. So it’s my advice to all the aspirants until you master the topic don’t switch over for solving mcq’s.

Regarding your own notes : making your own notes is the best thing but only when you’re in a college and doing serious study every semester or you have to give exams after 1 or 2 years. Speaking of truth, I never made any of my own notes. I always preferred the notes of platforms which I used during my preparation. But it doesn’t mean that I didn’t study in my college years. I studied from textbooks and made my concepts clear crystals in my college life therefore I didn’t face too much stress during my preparation period. As I was in my college days and still preparing for other countries’ license exams, in my college last year I mastered my clinical subjects.
So it’s my personal advice that if you didn’t make your own notes don’t do it if you’re preparing in your final year or after graduation. Try to read and modify the notes in which you’re subscribed. Don’t waste time.

Regarding mcqs and revision

There is no limit for revision. This is my way of thinking and there is no limit for doing mcqs. Both of these will build up your concept and confidence level. I follow this blindly and hence get the results.

Regarding rapid revision

As told earlier! I followed the main notes every time and after every session the time consumed in main notes became shorter so my main notes became my rapid revision notes. For minor subjects I used rapid revision notes as I described in what material I used.

What was my last month strategy

Last month will decide everything about your exam day and your result. In my last month ! I kept revising from my main notes for the major subjects and also I started YouTube pyqs videos of the prep marrow.
I doubled my mcqs solving session. I set the target of solving 50 mcqs approximately in one go and try to reach the target of 100 mcqs daily. The question which I got wrong , I reviewed that question and topic instantly.
Also I gave 3 to 4 mocks in a week , same as the exam environment so to avoid exam anxiety and nervousness.

Last two weeks I only revised high yield topics and pyqs plus my weak points. Doing regular mcqs

3 days before I was just watching YouTube session, pyqs and my weak points

Day before exam : Just looking formula of PSM, LOGOS, INSTRUMENTS AND IMAGES.

AT Night I closed everything, was relaxing , nothing was in my mind , I made myself understood that I am going to crack this exam. I worked hard and all my determination will pay off. Took a very good night’s sleep and felt relaxed on the day 20th January.

Examination Day  Don’t carry notes or anything with you, it is of no use and will only cause anxiety and panic, also will affect you negatively.
Try to reach before 1hr from the last time of entry
After paper 1 don’t open any notes or your phone, don’t try to recall anything, close your eyes and relax you will have 1 hour break.

So this is my strategy and was my preparation plan towards fmge. Now let’s hop into our next part , students preparing for the upcoming June session. Here are my tips for you to crack this exam with a great score.

For Future Aspirants

For Those who didn’t made this time : Very brief tip for you , You guys know maximum things and already know most of the things. Just realize your weak points and work on them. Also try to learn or memorize things , practice a lot of mcq and also don’t waste time in switching materials or platforms. Stick to one thing and workout on your mistakes.

First attempt or Freshers

Materials or Resources : if you’re already on or already subscribed to a platform don’t switch platforms, you have to again adapt yourself towards the new teacher or teaching methods , changing platform will only make a difference.
If you are a lazy person or there are a lot of distractions or you can’t do self study then join an offline institute of your choice.

Time management : try to study at least 12 to 14 hours daily that you can’t achieve in a single day but start with minimum hours and slowly increase your study hours. Try to take a 10 minute break in between your sessions, close every book or device you use. And close your eyes, relax for 10 minutes minimum.

Divide your day into two sessions

1st session in morning try to cover your weak subjects, as in morning our mind is fresh.
In the 2nd session try to revise or do strong subjects, this will demand less energy and you will feel better and less tired at the end of the day.

Most important Point : Try to memorize, learn or mug up things. If you believe that just one or two readings is enough, my friend you’re wrong.

The minimum revision not reading , minimum revision per subject required is 4 at least and as also there is no limit per subject revision you can do. Same applied to mcqs practice, hence practice and revision makes concepts clear and strong mark it up and follow to succeed in the upcoming examination.

How to study main notes or rapid revision

For major subjects make their main notes your rapid revision notes by going through them again and again. Don’t watch videos every time once you watch it focus your attention towards notes. If in any case you don’t understand a particular topic then only watch a particular topic or if you still can’t understand still, try to find the same topic on YouTube. There are many hidden underrated teachers on YouTube.

For minor subjects go for rapid revision notes and videos or it totally depends on your choice .

Do mcqs only after you are confident and ready enough in a particular topic.

Do mocks, and don’t be afraid of your score , I remember my starting two three mocks which I gave I scored 160 , 140 , and 156. No matter how low you score on a mock, always have confidence and trust yourself. Look for the question and related topics which you marked wrong , try to analyze the mistake , learn that topic and compare it with the question you marked correctly, for sure the majority of questions you marked correct answer for sure you learned that topic.

Also while reading or revising notes always look for images of the same topic at least two or three different images.

Question which you marked wrong, look for their explanation and try to understand at that moment only , do not put anything for last days , as there is no such thing called as last minute. As exam day approaches you will forget or you will not have time to look for your wrong answer or your weak points.

Just trust yourself and your hard work , do multiple times revision with mcqs and for sure you will crack fmge exam or any exam.

For students who are in college or will appear for December session or upcoming NEXT/FMGE

For you guys the earlier you will start the easier your journey of preparing towards exam will become.

Try to watch main videos plus read main notes for all the subjects excluding some minor once but this also depends upon you. Try to build your concepts and practice more clinical oriented mcqs as we don’t know what exam you will give. Rest follow the same advice which I wrote above
